Gelber: Make restitution

Oct 5, 2010

Pensacola News Journal

Dan Gelber, the Democrat nominee for state attorney general and a
state senator from Miami Beach, visited the Gulf Coast Claims Facility
office in Pensacola on Monday and participated in the Florida Restaurant
and Lodging Association forum.

"It is alarming that so many
Floridians and small businesses impacted by the BP oil spill disaster
are struggling to be made whole by BP," Gelber said. "BP's promise to
'make things right' has only gone so far, and our communities are still
feeling the pain from this environmental and economic disaster."

Since
the oil spill, Gelber has called on BP to be held fully financially
responsible for the damage the spill caused to the environment and
economy.

Gelber is running against Republican Pam Bondi.
