Dan Gelber picked up the endorsement of the 23,000 members of the
Florida Professional Firefighters (FPF) today. Gelber faces Republican
Pam Bondi in the attorney general's race.

The FPF highlighted Senator Gelber’s record as a federal prosecutor
and his years as Staff Director and Chief Counsel for the U.S. Senate's
Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in announcing its endorsement.

“Having
served as a top federal prosecutor and Chief Counsel and Staff Director
for the U.S. Senate’s investigations committee, Dan knows what it takes
to keep the public safe,” said Florida Professional Firefighters
President Gary Rainey in an e-mailed statement. “Dan’s experience
strengthening emergency response efforts and public safety will serve
the people of Florida well.”

The Florida Professional
Firefighters, with a membership of 23,000 firefighters and emergency
medical services personnel was established in 1944 and is a leading
voice for Florida’s first responders.
