Miami Beach, Fla.- The South Florida Council of Fire Fighters today announced their endorsement of Sen. Dan Gelber's campaign for Attorney General. In their endorsement, the Council highlighted Dan's near decade experience as a top federal prosecutor and his years as Staff Director and Chief Counsel for the U.S. Senate's Committee on Investigations as evidence his most experienced and ready to lead as Florida's Top Cop and Chief Legal Officer.

"Our Council is proud to endorse Dan Gelber as Florida's next Attorney General," said Dean Parkeson, President of the South Florida Council of Fire Fighters. "Dan has proven he understands the issues firefighters face day in and day out and I know he will fight for us in Tallahassee. His record as a top prosecutor and his experience in strengthening emergency response efforts will serve Dan well as he confronts the growing challenges of our state as Attorney General."

The South Florida Council of Fire Fighters includes Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties and the members of the Coral Gables, Hialeah, Key Biscayne, Key West, Marathon, Miami, Miami Beach, Miami-Dade, and Monroe County fire fighters. The organization represents approximately 3,500 fire fighters and their families in South Florida.
